This week Sitecore announced the addition of Sitecore Commerce (powered by Commerce Service, which it acquired in November 2013) into its Experience Platform. This means that Sitecore’s Experience Platform offers pretty much everything you need to create and carry out your customer experience strategies.
Most brands are recognizing that their e-commerce solutions can’t be managed separately from the rest of their digital experiences. According to Sitecore, it is also working with Microsoft Dynamics AX to create an omni-channel offering spanning both online and offline shopping experiences.
Sitecore also notes a quicker time to market and a platform that is flexible and enterprise grade. Sitecore Commerce will be generally available in September and will be demoed at its Symposium in Vegas September 8-10th.
