It’s Wrap: Salesforce & OpenText Compete For Attention + A Goal Defined for Digital Tech Diary

DigitalExperienceWeeklyThere were two big conferences this week: Salesforce Dreamforce and OpenText Enterprise World. There was no shortage of coverage and new announcements coming out of either. I’ve captured the key news in this week’s Flipboard magazine so check it out. There were so many things talked about, I didn’t get to read them all, so I think I’ll go through it and produce a summary for you early next week.

This week’s magazine covers some other new product releases, a look at how content management has changed, some tips on how to do paid search, and a new mobile app that you might be interested in checking out (I know I am).

I didn’t get an article for you this week, but I had a great talk with Loni Kao Stark from Adobe about trends. That you can expect to see early December. I also talked to a new startup called KiteDesk, and on Monday I’ll show you a new service they built that’s pretty interesting (it was launched at Dreamforce this week).

And finally, between working with some great clients on content marketing projects, I’ve spent some time trying to understand the true purpose of Digital Tech Diary. The word that kept escaping me, hit me in the face this week (well actually it came from Loni when I described what I wanted this magazine to focus on).

Practitioner.

It’s time to stop simply talking about why digital experiences are important. We get it. It’s time to really get down to business and focus on the how, and the what, and the when. That’s my goal for Digital Tech Diary. Time to pull up my sleeves and help you dig in and have fun doing it…

Until next week…
