It’s a Wrap: What’s in Your Customer Experience Strategy?

There was no shortage of thought-provoking articles across the Web for me to read, Pocket and share in this week’s Digital Experiences Weekly.
Some of them were strategy focused, such as the CMO’s role in aligning brand, marketing and customer experience, while others were more tactical, such as how to grow your email list, and the enhancements to Google Analytics.
I think it’s important that we take time to read a mix of thinking vs doing articles, and try to take some of the insights gained by others and carry them out in to our own work. That’s my plan anyway.
In addition to reading, I did spend some time working on new material of my own, including a great interview with Sitecore CSO, Darrren Guarnaccia. Guarnaccia spoke about the “Connected customer” and how Sitecore will work to help customers achieve this in the coming year. He also spoke more broadly of the industry in general, so I encourage you to check the article out if you haven’t already.
Over on InsideCXM.com I took some time to look at the role of the Digital Experiences Officer (CXO), and found that while it seems a necessary position and there are likely people doing it, it’s hard to find someone who carries the actual title. If you have this title or know someone else who does, or if you do the job without the title, , I’d love to interview you.
The new brand for Digital Tech Diary is a work in progress. Next week, along with a couple of articles (an interview with CoreMedia’s Doug Heise among them), we’ll implement some changes to the user experience.
