It’s A Wrap for 2013: Preparing for Digital Marketing in 2014

As we head into the holiday, we’re wrapping up the Weekly Digital Experiences Magazine until 2014. Can’t believe another year is over. You can’t say this year hasn’t been filled with big changes both from a customer experience strategy standpoint and a technology standpoint.

I made the comment in an interview earlier today that there’s way too much to keep up with. That being said, this is, for me, the most interesting and challenging time to be a part of this customer experience/digital experience space. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else right now and I only plan to do more in 2014.

Yes there is a lot to learn, the key is to figure out what needs to happen for your particular organization based on your customer’s needs. Loni Kao Stark, of Adobe, told me that as long as you keep your focus on the customer, you can’t go wrong.

Digital Experience Weekly

This week’s Digital Experience Magazine has a number of articles focused on how you do just that. I’ve started a new Industry Insights column over at InsideCXM.com that gives a great summary of some research in the CXM/digital marketing space, so have a look at those. There’s also some great career advice for the digital marketers – and it’s not just the basics of digital marketing.

Check out some articles on Twitter, and Facebook that should make you think carefully about your social media marketing strategy, and read up on predictive marketing and real-time marketing – both huge topics for 2014 that we’ll cover here on Digital Tech Diary.

So dive in before you take a much desired break. And we’ll see you in 2014! Happy Holidays!
