If you’ve wondered what’s happening with Clickability since its acquisition by Upland Software, well here’s a good start – they have improved the web content management platform’s user interface bringing it inline with the needs of today’s digital marketers.

According to Upland Software, Clickability’s new UI gives marketers more flexibility and control managing websites, campaigns, landing pages and more. No longer is IT needed to manage templates within the WCM, marketers can now create and modify templates and edit web page layouts. They also have in-context editing so it’s easier (and quicker) to see the changes made to content.

There’s also a new separation between design, templates and content, again making it easier to create custom designs for campaigns/landing pages and web pages.

Clickability also have improved multi-channel publishing, with responsive design built directly into the platform. This gives marketers the ability to see what their sites look like on different device sizes as they create their content.

New tools come with the new UI. Above you see the new Content Editor, below the new Template Builder.  There’s also a new Layout Manager to create page layouts and reusable page elements, and a new Design Manager where designers can create CSS and JavaScript bundles for deployment on development, test and production.

Said Noah Logan, General Manager, Clickability:

“As we developed our new UI, we worked with our users to identify what they required to successfully address these requirements, and we then applied these insights. The outcome is a very flexible offering that empowers all types of users to execute their strategies effectively.”

Overall, it looks like an improvement, something needed to bring the SaaS WCM inline to today’s content management platforms. We’ll be taking a deeper look in Clickability in the coming months to get a better idea of how it is supporting marketing’s current needs and its future plans.
