Looking for more proof to Forrester acknowledgement that WCM vendors are giving marketing automation vendors a run for their customers? Acquia is providing it with its new Acquia Lift platform.
Acquia Lift is all about providing the best personalized web experience a person could ask for. Built directly into the Drupal platform so you don’t have go back and forth between your content management environment and your digital marketing environment, Lift offers a number of capabilities, including testing, targeting and reporting.
Essentially you get built-in A/B and multivariate testing. The nice thing here is you can view the set up of your tests as they would look to a visitor, so you can quickly see if you’ve created everything properly. You can also track the results and performance of your tests.
Set up either automated targeting – the system learns the best content for a user context based on interactive testing and then maps the content to new visitors to the site, or rules based personalization based on personas you define or specific visitor attributes (these can be stored within a Drupal profile or not).
The adaptive targeting comes thanks to a OEM relationship which provides machine learning algorithms.Lift learns about a visitor over time and can further personalize the experience they receive. Also included are reporting and analytics so you can see how your optimization strategies are working.
I should also point out that Acquia says no developer interaction is required to put tags in the Javascript code on web page to deploy this functionality. And it’s also interoperable, so if you have already invested in some digital marketing tools, you don’t have to get rid of them to implement Acquia Lift.
If you are using Drupal for your content management platform then you will happy to see personalization capabilities like this become directly available. I’m sure there are some third-party plug-ins you could use, but to have the functionality for testing and targeting directly within the same interface where you manage your content is great.
